Welcome to Neargrass Junction!
Yogi Berra said, "If you come to a fork in the road, take it." That's just what this group of six Fort Collins/Loveland, Colorado musicians did when our diverse musical backgrounds came together to create a new musical experience. "Little Kenny and Neargrass Junction" combines bits of folk, bluegrass, classical, country and jazz to create a sound that we affectionately call "neargrass".
Originally born of a trio who performed bluegrass gospel together, the sound began to change with the addition of each new member of the band. Now, six musicians and friends get together each week to make music, laugh, and give each other a hard time or a hug, whichever we have comin' to us. We invite you to join us as we continue down this road.
We're not sure exactly where the road leads, but the trip so far has been spectacular!

"What's new?", you ask...
Vi Wickam, a.k.a. "Vi the Fiddler", will be performing as a guest musician with the band on Aug. 14 at The Tap Room. He's got over 1500 friends on facebook...heck, if even 10% of them show up, we'll be breaking the fire code!
So come early, fill your glass, grab a seat (I mean a chair!) and get ready for a whole lot of fun when Vi joins Little Kenny & Neargrass Junction for an evening of great music and fun!
Can't Wait to See You Again! We took a break from performing while we traveled yet "another fork in the road" of life. Along the way we picked up a new job, a new home, a new baby, a new lease on life and a new fiddle player! (Our original fiddler and friend is off on an adventure to the far east!) The band is sticking closer to home and gearing up for a great time at The Tap Room in Fort Collins on August 14th! If you don't yet have a copy of our new CD, "Another Fork in the Road", we'll have some for sale at the show. If you already have yours....GREAT! Just come for the music, the tasty micro brews and the fun! And bring a friend! Heck.....bring a whole bus load and call it a party! See you there!
